The Agile Pro Tips Story

Back in 2018, my good friend Kevin approached me after being let go from a project manager job he’d had for 12 years. He was looking to land a new position quickly, and he wanted to know what all this “Agile” talk was really about.

I’m Joe Burroughs, and I work as an Agile Implementation Specialist. I have a strong background in applying Agile at the enterprise level, including implementing: Scrum, Kanban, Nexus, SoS, S@S, LeSS, SAFe, and custom frameworks.

Kevin had all the right skills and talents, he had even taken an agile certification course, but he couldn’t see how Agile worked in real-life. Because of this, his interviews were ending before they really got started.

After working with him for a few weeks and sharing tactical guidance on how to implement agile from a practical perspective, Kevin was able to secure a role at a large financial services company and double his salary!

From that point on, I knew this was something I wanted to do. As a result, I decided to launch Agile Pro Tips in 2019.
