Nothing can defeat those who are consistent. No single innovation or new way of thinking can outperform consistent results over time. This is true for the stock market, and it is true for you at work and in life. If you have a goal and chip away at it every day with consistent effort you will conquer it.
“There is always a bigger guy.”
Sure, there’s a bigger, smarter, faster, richer, version of you out there, but if you consistently show up and outwork them… you win. Period.
Anyone can be disciplined if they want to be. (Yes, you too!) You just need to decide what’s worth showing up for every day and then, simply show up and work. It is the single most important thing you can do for yourself and you can start right now – for free.
Set aside a few minutes to jot down your top goals. Tomorrow, review and prioritize those goals. You can add, edit, and delete as you see fit.
Then pick one goal and devote a set amount of time to it every day.
That time is sacred. If you’re on vacation spend that time writing down next steps while on the balcony or over a cup of coffee, but you never take a vacation from your goal or this time commitment.
Grind out small steps toward that goal like a kid doing chores for neighbors to buy a bike.
Chart your progress and celebrate small victories.
When you are finished… pick your next goal!
Cheers,
Joe
