Many people are frustrated by uncertainty and complexity in their jobs. I use Agile principles to provide clear and simple strategies so that you can win at work!

Strong teams organize around a unified vision. If you take the time to focus that vision, you will, in turn, sharpen the team.

If teams are assembled only based on the skills they bring to the table there can be a lot of extra hurdles to overcome as the team matures.

My wife and I just launched our training website: www.AgileProTips.com and while we both have very different skillsets and working styles we are totally aligned on our vision: “deliver value to our customers.” This allowed us to quickly address and solution through disagreements around website flows, content delivery, and even technical specs. The question, “does it benefit the customer?” is the ultimate crucible for us. If ‘yes’ then we figure out how to make it work… if ‘no’ we leave it on the drawing board.

I have worked on many teams that were brought together based only on skillset and availability. Almost all of them were fun, some were even good, none were great.

Great teams require unity of vision and that should be part of your company’s team selection process.

Cheers,
Joe
